Green bubbles will be flowing all across Spokane this St. Patricks day and we are here to help guide you on your path to becoming Irish for the day.

From the parade to the pub we have picked out a few must go to places for anyone with that Irish Jig in their heart.

The holiday itself is on March 17th which is a Monday, but most of the festivities will be held the previous Sat. This includes the Spokanes Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which begins at noon, and follows Washington from Boone to downtown then back up Union.

These are a few of the other things happening around town on the night of the parade and/or St. Patricks Day itself, according to the websites of these establishments.

O’doherty’s Irish Pub is known for their Guinness Beer-Battered Fish & Chips, slow cooked corned beef, and southern style smoked pulled pork, O’doherty’s also promotes a friendly celtic environment, and  wide variety boozes including a self proclaimed, “Great line-up of Scotch.”

O’doherty’s will have entertainment provided for both the holiday and the day of the parade including, Irish Dancers, and the Spokane Valley Firefighters Pipes and Drums, Green Beer on Tap and specialty Irish Trash Cans.

Scott Poole of, Pooles Public House said, “We will be celebrating For three days during the St. Patrick’s day weekend. It is our favorite holiday of the year. On Saturday we will feature live music by Irish rock band Kéilidh Shillelagh and the ElektroKelts, starting at 8pm,” They will also be serving a large selection of Irish styled cocktails, appetizers and meals.

If you miss Kéilidh Shillelagh and the ElektroKelts on Saturday, have no fear, you can catch them at Lucky’s Irish pub on St. Patrick’s Day.

The Iron Horse will have Irish music and bagpipe bands featured throughout the night of St. Patricks Day, Irish Whiskey drink specials, and Irish meals.

If the typical green beer swilling, bagpipes, celtic rock scene isn’t for you then we might have a few places of interested for those of you suffering from dance club, cant stop wont stop syndrome as well.

Club 412 previously the A Club will be hosting two DJs on two separate stages for the evenings festivities, on the day of the parade.

Irv’s will be hosting DJ Prohesy and will be the final destination for the Irish Drinking Team on Saturday night. On the night of St. Patrick’s day Nova Kaine & Le Gurlz the female impersonator drag show will be performing a special St. Patrick’s Day themed review.

If you feel like your tolerance can handle an all day celebration on the day of the parade you could also follow the Irish Drinking team to many of Spokane’s finer establishments and possibly a few dives along the way. They start at 7:00 am for breakfast at fast eddies, and make their way throughout the town in the most probable drunken stupor since Toronto Mayor, Rob Ford hit the Canadian political scene.

Whatever your cup of tea, Spokane offers plenty of entertainment for the Irish in all of us.
