With so many hang-out destinations around the Spokane area it can be hard to pick a place to spend a Saturday night out on the town. Possibly the most elegant place in Spokane is the Davenport Hotel, where many attractions are offered to appease someone looking for an enjoyable and relaxing evening.
Located at the hotel right in the middle of the entertainment region of Spokane is a restaurant called the Peacock Lounge which has received many high reviews for not only its award-winning double martinis, but also for it’s unique decor of stuffed peacocks and stained glass ceilings and walls. It’s delectable menu options are only the start of why the Peacock Lounge is the place to be and is rated number 16 of 766 restaurants in Spokane.
Even though the Peacock Lounge is not available for the early risers, for it opens at four in the afternoon, it is still a place to consider when trying to find a late lunch or dinner destination. They also provide happy hour from four till six. To make the lounge even more fancy, valet parking is available for only $10 for those who don’t want to drive around for hours on end trying to find a suitable parking spot, or for those who don’t want to endure potentially ‘crappy’ weather conditions.
At first impression, the Peacock Lounge may seem like an inadequate representation of a restaurant, but according to a recent customer, “this is my most recommended place in Spokane for a cocktail and conversation,” said Fred Williamson. Also, from the lounge’s main website, its signature dishes include a prime rib french dip sandwich that is served on a toasted baguette and served with fresh fries, au jus, and creamed horseradish sauce. Just the thought of this dish is bound to get your mouth watering.
Another signature menu item is the recently mentioned Cougar Gold cheese dip. The dip is made of a medley of cheeses and includes popular flavors such as roasted garlic, shallots and pepperoncini.
Their award winning, handcrafted cocktails are made with freshly squeezed juices, herbs and botanicals.
The Peacock Lounge offers a variety of delicious menu choices that make it a consumer favorite, but its decor and environment is not something to pass by.
The lounge is “a very classic room for the town, with great martinis, interesting atmosphere, and historic charm. The stained glass ceiling is a trip,” said a satisfied Peacock Lounge customer.
According to tripadvisor.com, the Peacock Lounge is rated highest in the atmospheric quality, following with food and service quality. Customers delight on the fact that there is a lounge available to just go and relax and have some drinks with friends and that “you can actually hear your friends and what they have to say,” said Fred Williamson.
With cheap prices and five-star quality food and beverages, the Peacock Lounge has become one of Spokane’s most desired destinations.
