Starting November 14, SFCC’s Revelers Drama Club will be start- ing off their Fall season with the opening of their first of three stage plays “Inspecting Carol.”
The play is directed by William Marlowe, and is advertised as “an off the wall Christmas Caroling rehearsal, we have laughed until we’ve cried.” When interviewed, Marlowe made sure to give the unique background of the play.
“Inspecting Carol was written for the Seattle Repertory Theatre. Its an original piece.”Marlowe said.
The play also fits into the theme that the club has set for the quarter, which is to have plays about people who do plays.
“This play isn’t one to miss” Marlowe said. “It’s hilarious. During rehearsal, we have laughed until we’re cried.”
Inspecting Carol will run from November 14-17 and the 21-24 in the SFCC Spartan Theatre located on campus in building 5. The box office opens a half hour before each showing and although a sug- gested $10 donation at the door is asked of the general audience,
SFCC students can take advantage of free admission. Seating is first come first serve.
Students, faculty or staff in- terested in being involved with future plays are welcome to audition with a prepared monologue. Auditions for the next play, “The Compleat Female Stage Beauty”, will be held December 2 and 3 at 1pm.
If you have any questions about the upcoming play or future plays you can call the director’s office at (509)533-3592.
